スザンナ・ドゥーア

博士課程、ドゥーク大学。宗教学の大学院生で、去年の11月に日本に来て、駒澤大学の石井清純先生の下で研究している。研究のテーマは現代日本仏教。特に日本的マインドフルネスを中心している。将来、宗教学の教授を目指す。

Susannah Duerr

Doctoral candidate, Duke University. A graduate student of Religious Studies, Susannah came to Japan in November 2021 to begin a year of research in Japan under the guidance of Professor Ishii Seijun at Komazawa University. Her doctoral research examines contemporary Japanese Buddhism, and in particular the ways in which “mindfulness” has been variously received and adapted in Japan. In the future, she hopes to become a professor of Religious Studies.
